For the past 22 years, I have been serving the citizens of Allegheny County as a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s Office. I began working as an assistant D.A. in 1999, shortly after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Having spent thousands of hours in the courtroom, I’m an experienced trial attorney with an expert knowledge of the rules of evidence, criminal procedure, and the law. The majority of my career has been spent as a homicide prosecutor where I’ve fought passionately to bring murderers to justice and closure to victims’ families.

My trial expertise, integrity, and commitment to developing the skills of young lawyers, culminated in a promotion to Deputy District Attorney in 2013, when I was selected to supervise the Violent Crimes, Firearms and Narcotics Division. I’ve seen first-hand the impact of guns and senseless violence on communities, and am proud of the work my unit does to seek justice for victims of gun violence across the county with a hard stance on illegal gun possession.

While I was born in New York City, Pittsburgh has been my home since 1990 when I moved here to attend Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management and a Minor in Architecture. My wife, Lisa, and I live in Squirrel Hill with our three children, and recently my mom, Dalia, moved in as well.

When I’m not in the courtroom, or at home with my family, you can find me playing in the ACBA’s softball and basketball leagues, coaching my son’s 14th Ward baseball team or at the JCC shooting hoops with friends.

I look forward to connecting with you over the next few months to earn your trust, respect, and vote on May 18th.  Please reach out to my team directly at if you’re interested in setting up a one-on-one or inviting me to speak at a meeting or event. I welcome the opportunity to connect with individuals and groups across the county.
