And nothing says “new year, new me” like a body reboot. Enter Biohack Lab. From hangover helpers to energy resetting machines, this ultimate recovery spot is dripping with good feels.

Partying hard into 2026 could be too much for the body and could turn you into a zombie.

At the Biohack Lab, their purpose is to make you feel alive again, down to the cellular level. Oh, that sounds pretty smart.

Raina Cassis: “We’re a wellness center. We focus on the mind, body and spirit. We have over 25 different modalities that cater to making you the best version of yourself. You have zombie cells in your body. In science, they’re known as senescent cells, these are cells that are not working and functioning at their best levels.”

And going through their “Post New Year’s Eve: Revive and Reset’ gets rid of these lazy little guys.

Raina Cassis: “The first thing that’s done is definitely a cryo to help boost your body and your cells and wake you up. Think of your cells as little battery packs and we’re recharging them, and when your cells have more energy, that’s good for blood flow, circulation and inflammation, which we see a lot after drinking.”

Spencer O’Neal: “I like the cryo chamber, there’s just kind of an immediate endorphin pump after that and you just have so much energy, like, I leave that and I wanna go back and party again but maybe I’ll take it easy for a couple of days.”

Then, it’s off for some heat.

Raina Cassis: “Definitely an infrared sauna session to sweat out whatever toxins you ingested during that time.”

After, go inside this white ball.

Raina Cassis: “Hyperbaric oxygen therapy here, is that you go into a chamber, we put your body in a pressurized state, almost as if you’re in a submarine diving down under water. When your body is in that pressurized state, the molecule of oxygen becomes small enough to travel wherever it needs to go to.”

And some much needed drip tops the holistic experience.

Raina Cassis: “Ending off with an IV of your choice. And you also have molecular hydrogen, which is an incredible tool. It gives you more clarity and more energy to be able to take on the rest of the weekend if you have to.”

Nicholas Wingord: “I partied pretty hard with my best friend and that added to feeling even more tired and I feel like being here has been great. I already feel rejuvenated.”

The Biohack Lab has locations in Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines and Coral Gables, with more coming soon.

These SoFlo spots are hosting New Year’s Eve parties featuring fireworks, beaches, gardens and an amusement park https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/these-soflo-spots-are-hosting-new-years-eve-parties-featuring-fireworks-beaches-gardens-and-an-amusement-park/ Wed, 31 Dec 2025 02:28:03 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1655659 There are hundreds of things you could be doing to ring in the new year, but in case you’re stumped, we know a couple of places. From fireworks on the beach, in a garden or at an amusement park, Deco is showing you the best places to say hello to 2026.

If you’re looking to start 2026 with a bang, then Ocean Drive is calling.

When the clock strikes 12 this New Year’s Eve, Lummus Park will be your front-row seat to one of Miami’s biggest firework shows.

Jonathan Plutzik: “The great thing about the firework celebration on New Year’s Eve is, it’s so significant. You can almost stand anywhere here on Ocean Drive and take it in.”

Take in the amazing views while sitting on the beach or dine at one of the open-air restaurants.

Jonathan Plutzik: “All of the restaurants have extended into the street, serving not only there normal menus, but actually a special taste of Ocean Drive menu, it’s really a wonderful way to take in the new year.”

But that’s not all. The fun continues on New Year’s Day.

Jonathan Plutzik: “And every year on New Year’s Day, we celebrate the new year with a full orchestra concert by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival.”

For families who don’t want to wait until midnight, Christmas Wonderland in Tropical Park will be ringing in the new year a bit earlier.

Tony Albelo: “We call it ‘New Year’s at Nine,’ where we are going to have a full-blown New Year’s Eve experience, but instead of the countdown happening at midnight, it’s going to happen at 9.”

Fireworks will light up the night sky at 9 p.m., just as it would for any New Year’s Eve party.

Tony Albelo: “In addition to that, we have a big confetti storm that’s going to happen by the main stage, we have a dance party. We’re having a DJ on the stage, and the DJ is going to be playing top hits.”

This family fun won’t break the bank, either.

Tony Albelo: “‘New Year’s at Nine’ costs nothing extra. You come to Christmas Wonderland with your regular ticket, you’re going to get the party favors, you are going to get the dance party, firework show is going to happen, confetti is going to happen. Everything that’s going to happen is all included in your ticket.”

“Lit” would be the best word to describe New Year’s Eve at Fairchild Botanical’s NightGarden.

Daniel Wu: “If you never been here before on New Year’s Eve, you’re in for a treat.”

The twinkling forest will also be bursting with fireworks at 9 p.m.

Daniel Wu: “We are a family-friendly event — great for all ages, everything for family to date nights. And we chose 9 o’clock so that everyone can attend and you have a chance to go for after parties. We have food, we have drinks, we have music and all of the lights and the fireworks you have come to expect from us.”

Tickets for Ocean Drive New Year’s events are free of charge.

Becky G pulls back the curtains on her life in new documentary, ‘Rebecca’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/becky-g-pulls-back-the-curtains-on-her-life-in-new-documentary-rebecca/ Tue, 30 Dec 2025 02:25:32 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1655282 She’s a pop star, a cultural powerhouse and now, she’s got her own documentary. Becky G is pulling back the curtain on her life, her roots and the music that changed everything. From family stories to memories, this one’s personal.

Becky G has done pop hits, global tours and now, she’s doing something that’s way more close to home.

Her new documentary, “Rebecca,” tells the story behind her stage name, family, faith and finding her voice.

Becky G: “I think being Mexican-American has given me a lens that I view the world through with a lot of duality. That’s why I identify as a 200 percenter. I have two worlds that I get to pull inspiration from, two languages, two flags that I proudly represent.”

The film follows her journey as she goes back to her roots, while creating her musica Mexicana album, “esquinas,” and musically, she’s not done slowing down. She’s already teasing what’s next.

Becky G: “It would maybe be easier for your fans to keep up with you if you just stuck to one, but I also think that, how I am a fan of music myself, is how I should show up as an artist, which is, you know, there is no specific category. I don’t really like the idea of being contained to just one box.”

At the core of it all, this is a story about identity, healing and owning every part of who you are.

Becky G: ‘”But I think for us right now, part of our resistance is our celebration, is the fact that we’re not going to stop singing. We’re not going to stop dancing. We’re not going to stop celebrating who we are because there’s nothing wrong with who we are.”

No filter. No apologies. Just Becky in full color.

Becky G: “I shouldn’t have to give up parts of myself to be accepted anywhere. I should fully embrace myself. It’s when it started to feel more like a superpower, and I hope that for future generations, that they feel empowered by their duality.”

Becky G’s documentary, “Rebecca,” is now on Netflix.

2 local clothing boutiques provide fashion tips ahead of New Year’s Eve celebration https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/2-local-clothing-boutiques-provide-fashion-tips-ahead-of-new-years-eve-celebration/ Tue, 30 Dec 2025 01:06:51 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1655383 New Year’s Eve is almost here — and if you still don’t know what you’re wearing, you’re in big trouble. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you fashion it out. We checked in with two clothing boutiques to break down what to wear before the clock strikes midnight.

Yep. It’s almost that time, and picking the right New Year’s Eve outfit can be so stressful. But choosing the right look makes the night easy. First stop, “Bigdropnyc,” in Miami Beach!

Malka Katzav: “This New Year’s Eve, you can expect a lot of texture, a lot of glitz, glam, sequence. It is all about texture this season.”

“Bigdropnyc” is known for its high-end style.

Malka Katzav: “We love seeing women be in their full confidence, and that definitely starts with what you are wearing– and how you are feeling. “

And has major respect within the fashion community!

Malka Katzav: “We have a lot of different actresses, models, influencers, celebrities — a lot of the Real Housewives of Miami shop with us frequently. Alexia Nepola is one of my great clients. Cindy Crawford, when she’s in town, always visits us, and Eva Longoria is another.”

The New Year’s Eve vibe here is bold, and you will stand out.

Malka Katzav: “Here we have a beautiful strapless, sweetheart neckline, feather mini dress. You can never go wrong with an LBD (little black dress). This dress has been so popular, this is actually from our in-house label, Malka. It is the Kai Lace Slip Dress.”

Malka Katzav: “Here you have a beautiful retro fit, mini sequence dress, you can never go wrong with gold, anything metallic, during New Year’s is an absolute yes, especially when you’re in Miami.”

“Private Label by Genavieve” brings a Miami feel with a creative twist.

Melissa Hernandez: “New Year’s Eve is a special occasion; we love to help our women find unique designer pieces that make them feel confident.”

The looks are effortless, stylish, and showstopping.

Melissa Hernandez: “We’re seeing gold sequins, with an open back, always very sexy and edgy for Miami.”

Genavieve also has some tailored pieces made just for you.

Melissa Hernandez: “But if you want to make a bold statement, you gotta wear one of these silver sequins, custom-made, private label by Genevieve Gowns.”

Different styles, same message for New Year’s Eve. Wear what feels good, let midnight do the talking, and while you’re shopping, don’t forget to have a sip.

Genavieve Paige Villar: “We also do have prosecco in the store for our clients who don’t look at their times, and it’s five o’clock somewhere. We have some prosecco and champagne when shopping, so we try to make it really fun here at the store!”

A Broward steakhouse gives mouthwatering meals to its patrons alongside entertainment and drinks https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/a-broward-steakhouse-gives-mouthwatering-meals-to-its-patrons-alongside-entertainment-and-drinks/ Tue, 30 Dec 2025 01:05:26 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1655376 A new restaurant has Broward foodies licking their chops.

Actually, those chops are being eaten along with other cuts of mouth-watering meats. This place is redefining what a steakhouse should be in 2026. Dig in.

The South Florida food scene is heating up, now that Jay’s in town.

Jay Shirodkar: “So we think that we’re the sexiest steak house in Fort Lauderdale.”

That’s a bold claim. Back it up, if you will.

Jay Shirodkar: “Since we’re serving steak and since we serve it well and since we serve the best steak we’re able to push the envelope on the other stuff that we do, which is a spectacular entertainment program, a really unique drinks program.”

The special vibes start with the location of Jay’s.

Jay Shirodkar: “Which is a 1920s church that was moved brick by brick off of Las Olas to its current state.”

Things have certainly changed in the last 100 years.

Jay Shirodkar: “Inside, we’re doing exactly the opposite of whatever you do at an old church, right, it’s drinking and dancing and having a good time.”

And eating. Don’t forget about eating.

Jay Shirodkar: “We do an oyster Rockefeller, and we make sure that the presentation is spectacular.”

You can also start off with favorites like steak tartare. And believe it or not — this is their version of steak and eggs. Some of the entrees are prepared in front of your eyes.

Jay Shirodkar: “Obviously, our prime rib trolley rolls right up to your table, and that’s a spectacular show. The prime rib trolley that we do is non-existent in the state.”

They can whip up a supreme steak right next to you.

Jay Shirodkar: “We have an Australian wagyu tomahawk. And our chef comes out, and he’ll do the whole presentation, cut it up for your tableside.”

Answer the call of your sweet tooth with the “tall, dark, and handsome chocolate cake”. Or the gold flake-topped “24 k magic bar”. “Jay’s Espresso Martini” is part of the mix, as well.

Jay Shirodkar: “Constantly tweaking to make it perfect.”

The entertainment puts the entire experience over the top. One night, it’s a sultry table-top dancer, moving to some classic ballads.

Then again, you might show up at Jay’s on a hot night.

Jay Shirodkar: “If you see the fire dancer in this room going along with the DJ, there is something that I can’t describe, you just have to see it and feel it.”

Find the perfect workout to decompress from holiday stress at Club Studio at the Miami World Center https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/find-the-perfect-workout-to-decompress-from-holiday-stress-at-club-studio-at-the-miami-world-center/ Fri, 26 Dec 2025 01:17:40 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1654545 It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. But the holiday season sure can be stressful! Thankfully, exercise is a great way to decompress and release those endorphins! Deco’s checking out a new spot that’ll get you back to feeling merry and bright any time of year.

Ed Sheeran singing “Merry Christmas”: “So kiss me under the mistletoe. Pour out the wine, let’s toast, and pray for December snow.”

They make it sound so easy. But in reality, the holidays can be kinda…

Jamie Lee Curtis as Nora Krank in “Christmas with the Kranks”: “I’m getting the ham. You get the tree.”

Talk about Christmas chaos! But have no fear, it’s easy to work off some of that stress!

At the new Club Studio at Miami World Center, getting pumped up is part of the fun!

Nia Simmons: “This is the first Club Studio here in Florida, and we’re excited to show Miami what we’re all about.”

This new state-of-the art facility is more than just a gym, it’s the ultimate spot for all things fitness and wellness.

Nia Simmons: “We have five boutique studio classes: Hit, boxing, cycle, yoga, reformer Pilates, which is super popular here in Miami. We also have a recovery lab. If you wanna also step away from the studio rooms, we have a fully equipped fitness center.”

Wait a minute, did I hear boxing?! That sounds like the perfect way to pound out some of those holiday headaches.

Nia Simmons: “It’s a good way to build strength in your upper body and also your core. There’s seven rounds on the bag and two rounds on the floor and it kind of helps destress your day if you’re having a difficult day that day.”

Nothing says yuletide like a sweat sesh. And a spin class is the key to shining brighter than that bulb you asked someone to change for the hundredth time. It’s okay, just pedal the pressure away.

Nia Simmons: “The music is loud, the lights are low. Whether you take it at the beginning of the day at 5:05 a.m. or at 7:30 at night, it’s gonna change your vibe.”

It’s not a proper de-stressing session without a little TLC. That’s where the recovery center comes in, which includes cryotherapy, red light therapy and massage chairs. I feel better just thinking about it.

Nia Simmons: “We all know the holidays are stressful. You’re trying to do a million things at once. Club Studio is that one-stop shop, whether you wanna work out stress in the fitness room, pamper yourself in recovery or grab a protein shake for an energy boost.”

Deco’s Shireen Sandoval reviews hottest holiday box office hits in critic’s corner https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/decos-shireen-sandoval-reviews-hottest-holiday-box-office-hits-in-critics-corner/ Fri, 26 Dec 2025 01:00:59 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1654541 When you’re a movie lover, December releases can feel like the ultimate Christmas presents. But not all of them can be wrapped up in big, shiny bows. But it’s the thought that counts. Anyway, here’s my thoughts on four of this month’s top films.

Fired up and sparking up a frenzy! “Avatar: Fire & Ash” lights up the world of Pandora,\ with another epic adventure.

The third installment in the franchise is a cinematic spectacle that’s as visually stunning as its predecessors.

It’s a big, immersive blockbuster that isn’t afraid to hold back on the intensity, the emotions, or the run-time. But for fans of the saga, the three-plus hour run time is totally worth it.

Let the good times roll! Because the only thing sweeter than Caroline is Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson’s magnetic chemistry in “Song Sung Blue.”

This musical drama is based on the true story of the couple behind the Neil Diamond tribute band, “Lightning & Thunder.”

It’s a feel-sad, feel-good movie about love, relationships and never letting your dreams die.

Play ball! Timothée Chalamet is going balls to the wall in the table tennis drama, “Marty Supreme.”

The actor has been training for this role since 2018, and it shows.

It’s a riveting performance in a chaotic, unhinged film that’s part sports-movie, part crime thriller and part comedy.

Timothée proves, yet again, that he’s not only mastered the game, but his craft.

My anaconda don’t want none unless you’re Jack Black and Paul Rudd!

The two are getting up to some real funny business in this reboot of the 1997 cult classic.

But in their version of “Anaconda,” it’s bloody violence meets slapstick humor. Sounds like the holidays to me!

It might not be the best movie out there, but it sure is entertaining!

These SoFlo salons are bringing the brightest looks to celebrate the merry season https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/these-soflo-salons-are-bringing-the-brightest-looks-to-celebrate-the-merry-season/ Thu, 25 Dec 2025 01:23:30 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1654369 Holiday glam needs to be spotlight bright rather than silent night. Don’t stress, two South Florida salons are breaking down the trends this merry season. From shimmer to snatched looks, consider this the official glow-up cheat sheet.

George Macready as Ballin Mundson in “Gilda”: “Gilda, are you decent?”

Rita Hayworth as Gilda in “Gilda”: “Me?”

Ah, that infamous hair flip by Rita Hayworth. Hollywood glam will never be the same.

And celebs like Christina Aguilera and Sydney Sweeney are keeping that look going, especially during the holidays.

At LAHH Salon in Bay Harbor Islands, it’s about to get glamourous.

Arianna Palacios: “LAHH Salon stands for life is about healthy hair. And we are known for exactly that.”

Arianna Palacios: “Today, we’re specifically doing a traditional Hollywood wave style and we’re also doing a traditional updo. So these are some things that we’ve seen circling back, trending again and again. It’s a statement look while also being quite timeless.”

And for makeup…

Arianna Palacios: “We’re following along with some fashion week trends, we’re doing a metallic holiday look. It can draw attention to somebody’s eyes or their cheekbones.”

Customer: “I like the shimmery in the makeup that it still keeps the natural tones, down to earth so it’s not, like, too colorful.”

There’s no place like hair at House of Mane in Wynwood.

Sarah Caiceo: “We are a departmentalized salon. We do color, cut, specialize in extensions, keratin, straightening treatments, anything, you name it, we do everything that’s hair.”

And just like Kim Kardashian, everything is better with a bow.

Sarah Caiceo: “The trends we’re seeing is very effortless but also, kind of, that elegant, old money sort of feel. So we really wanted to hone in on that polished, pretty look. So a lot of slick backs, half up, very soft waves with a little added feminine bow.”

And these powerhouse looks give an added bonus.

Sarah Caiceo: “You can actually use the temples of your hair to give you a mini facelift. It’s a very easy style if you have kids or family coming over and you didn’t have time to wash your hair, it’s just a really style to throw together.”

Davie business brings calm to locals through holistic inner healing https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/davie-business-brings-calm-to-locals-through-holistic-inner-healing/ Wed, 24 Dec 2025 03:05:20 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1654131 New year, new inner peace! Because if 2025 was chaotic, might as well start 2026 on the calmer side. One local gem is helping you unwind and reset.

So stretch, breathe, and ommm…

The sound of traffic equals anxiety galore.

At “Living Sculpture Sanctuary” in Davie, being surrounded by nature’s music is like a reboot of the inner self, especially for 2026.

Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez: “Similar to what happens to your computer sometimes that it glitches or whatever you have to restart and unplug it.”

Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez: “The sound plus vibration plus being in that immersive experience it helps to reset.”

Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez: “We have all different elements here. We have water, we have fire. The moment that you come into the sanctuary you begin feeling a sense of peace.”

By expanding this peaceful oasis, it’s become a happy and meaningful place for everyone.

Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez: “So for the second phase ibuku, everything, every single space is not only aesthetically beautiful but it is so meaningful at the same time. In the case of the ibuku circle, which is a semi circle and you’re gonna find seven windows. They’re going to be representing the seven chakras, which are centers of energy.”

From yoga to bonsai classes, they’re tapping into Zen vibrations, including sound bath sessions. Because after all, humans are made out of mostly water.

Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez: Water gets affected by sound very easily and the same with our cells and our organs. We have these quartz bowls, they are 22 different frequencies and also they are key to different chakras.

Soon in 2026, the thumping sounds of drums will center the space.

Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez: “We are so excited. I cannot wait, from like musical classes. For example drumming. Taiko drumming with Japanese drums that are so healing especially for the heart chakra that is the first sound when you were born.”

Ben Miller: “There’s a lot of reasons to love this place. It’s very very special and it’s growing and growing on me. There’s a close parallel between music and rhythm and health and nature and all of these combine in a lot of different ways.”

Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson channel Neil Diamond in musical biopic, ‘Song Sung Blue’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/hugh-jackman-and-kate-hudson-channel-neil-diamond-in-musical-biopic-song-sung-blue/ Tue, 23 Dec 2025 01:23:20 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1653741 Get ready to fall in love with Lightning and Thunder in “Song Sung Blue.” With Hugh Jackman flexing those Broadway pipes and Kate Hudson striking those power chords, they’re a match made in musical heaven. Throw in Neil Diamond as a third wheel and it’s the perfect love story.

Go ahead and sing along.

Neil Diamond’s classic tunes are getting revived in the movie, ‘Song Sung Blue.”

In the biopic, Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson play Lightning and Thunder — a real-life Neil Diamond tribute duo. And Neil’s a fan.

Kate Hudson: “So wonderful. He’s so, he loves the movie. He said to me that, you know, every once in a while, something comes along and gives his music new life.”

And this film does just that with both stars loving their characters.

Kate Hudson: “With Claire, it would be her resilience, you know, and, I think it’s a theme throughout the whole film for everybody, for every character, but, it’s, like, grit. The grit and resilience.”

Hugh Jackman: “I got my first job when I was 26 so I had a lot of jobs and I was in a lot of amateur productions.”

Hugh Jackman: “When I graduated from drama school, I started a theater company, which, I assumed, would be for nine people and it’s still going. My life went in a direction that I never thought possible and it’s been incredible, but, I, like Mike, I’d still be doing it. Even if I had another job, I would still be doing it somehow.”

With the flick dropping on Christmas, it’s all about love and giving, especially for the icon.

Hugh Jackman: “He loves the story of them and always has. I think it speaks to his generosity and his real belief that for every Neil Diamond, there are thousands of really great musicians that don’t quite make it, but still love it and that’s awesome.”

SpongeBob proves he’s a ‘big guy’ to help Mark Hamill’s Flying Dutchman in ‘Search for SquarePants’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/spongebob-proves-hes-a-big-guy-to-help-mark-hamills-flying-dutchman-in-the-spongebob-movie-search-for-squarepants/ Fri, 19 Dec 2025 01:12:17 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1652539 New couple alert: SpongeBob SquarePants and Luke Skywalker! Say no more, just take my money. One of Hollywood’s most enduring sea sponges is surfacing in a new adventure, and Deco talked to the stars to get to the Bikini Bottom of the story.

This time, SpongeBob isn’t just flipping Krabby Patties — he’s tagging along with a familiar ghost: the Flying Dutchman!

“The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants” sends our favorite sea sponge way off the map — straight into dangerous waters he’s never been in before.

Bill Fagerbakke and Tom Kenny say the journey is bigger, weirder and way more chaotic, in the best way possible.

Tom Kenny: “What people can expect is a lot of laughs, a lot of silliness, a lot of colors, a lot of kineticism.”

Mark Hamill, who voices the Flying Dutchman, agrees.

Mark Hamill: “But on an epic scale, I mean, this thing is big, you know. I love the series, but I’m used to being Bikini Bottom! We go into the underworld, where no sponge has gone before!”

SpongeBob’s mission? To prove that he’s a “big guy.”

Expect all the old-school silliness and a lot of heart.

Bill Fagerbakke: “It came out of the imagination of these incredible writers and storyboard artists, and the underworld is really extraordinary, as Mark said. It’s really fun and a gas to see on the big screen.”

And if Patrick, SpongeBob and the Flying Dutchman ever hit SoFlo on an adventure, this would be the first thing they’d say:

Bill Fagerbakke: “Why is it so hot?!”

Tom Kenny: “I got to get out of here before the next hurricane hits!”

Mark Hamill: “At least it’s got a place to dock my ship!”

The sponge is braver, bolder and still a little absorbent.

Alexis Marie Tollinchi: “It’s a bourbon-based cocktail. It has vanilla and grapefruit. It is fruity but not intensely so.”

Wanna feel warm and fuzzy? Grab the “Coconut Hot Chocolate.” It’s got Jamaican rum, whipped cream, and comes in a Santa mug, and for those feeling extra adventurous…

Alexis Marie Tollinchi: “The ‘Yippie Ki Yay’ is probably one of our most famous cocktails. It has an intense blend of rums and a little bit of Ube. This is the perfect cocktail for those who know that Die Hard is a Christmas movie.”

Spiked Rich Nitrogen Ice Cream is decking out its menu with some frosty treats in time for the holidays.

Jesse Saunders, owner: “We make all of our ice creams from scratch using liquid nitrogen. We handcraft all of our creations. We use only premium ingredients here, and we’re known for crazy wild concoctions and recipes. Christmas time is always our favorite time of year. We always have new and special flavors for a limited time, such as ‘Gingerbread Crisp’ and ‘Peppermint Chip’. Fun and crazy creations, and very Instagrammable and really tasty.”

And of course, being naughty is OK.

Jesse Saunders, owner: “You can add alcohol to anything. We have a specialty alcohol menu as well. Our Grinch is a really popular item right now, which is our mint chip with Irish cream. You can get it virgin if you like as well. You can get regular cups, or you can upgrade and get our souvenir jars like our light bulbs and our teddy bear shakes as well.”

Portions are plenty to spread holiday cheer.

Jesse Saunders, owner: “You can bring your loved one, or you can bring a school bus of people to help you finish them. But we do have them in different sizes.”

Miracle on Calle Ocho is happening now through December 27th. As for Spiked Rich, they have specials going all the time. Just check out their Insta at spikedrich.

Workout center helps de-stress Miami locals through exercise after the holidays https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/workout-center-helps-de-stress-miami-locals-through-exercise-after-the-holidays/ Wed, 17 Dec 2025 01:10:36 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1651636 It’s the most wonderful time of the year. But the holidays can be stressful! Thankfully, exercise is a great way to decompress and release those endorphins! Deco’s checking out a new spot that’ll get you back to feeling merry and bright.

Ed Sheeran (singing): “So kiss me under the mistletoe. Pour out the wine, let’s toast, and pray for December snow.”

They make it sound so easy. But in reality, the holidays can be kinda…

Talk about Christmas chaos! But have no fear. It’s easy to work off some of that stress!

At the new “Club Studio” at Miami Worldcenter, getting pumped up is part of the fun!

Nia Simmons: “This is the first Club Studio here in Florida, and we’re excited to show Miami what we’re all about.”

This new state-of-the-art facility is more than just a gym. It’s the ultimate spot for all things fitness and wellness.

Nia Simmons: “We have five boutique studio classes: Hit, boxing, cycle, yoga, reformer Pilates, which is super popular here in Miami. We also have a recovery lab.”

Nia Simmons: “If you wanna also step away from the studio rooms, we have a fully equipped fitness center.”

Wait a minute, did I hear boxing?! That sounds like the perfect way to pound out some of those holiday headaches.

Nia Simmons: “It’s a good way to build strength in your upper body and also your core. There are seven rounds on the bag and two rounds on the floor, and it kinda helps de-stress your day if you’re having a difficult day that day.”

Nothing says Yuletide like a sweat session. And a spin class is the key to shining brighter than that bulb you asked someone to change for the hundredth time. It’s okay, just pedal the pressure away.

Nia Simmons: “The music is loud, the lights are low.”

Nia Simmons: “Whether you take it at the beginning of the day at 5:05 am or at 7:30 at night, it’s gonna change your vibe.”

It’s not a proper de-stressing session without a little TLC. That’s where the recovery center comes in, which includes cryotherapy, red light therapy, and massage chairs. I feel better already just thinking about it.

Nia Simmons: “We all know the holidays are stressful. You’re trying to do a million things at once. Club Studio is that one-stop shop, whether you wanna work out stress in the fitness room, pamper yourself in recovery, or grab a protein shake for an energy boost.”

2 SoFlo spots are getting into the Christmas spirit with a fun run, DJ party https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/2-soflo-spots-are-getting-into-the-christmas-spirit-with-a-fun-run-dj-party/ Wed, 17 Dec 2025 01:06:11 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1651663 Hate to eat and run, but if you want to drink and run, that’s another story! We’ll even show you how!

Santa hats, jingle bells, and a whole lot of sweat are about to flood the streets of Fort Lauderdale. The Wharf Fort Lauderdale is gearing up for its third annual Jolly Jog.

Emi Guerra: “We embrace the holidays, and we decided to merge the two things together. The holidays and a nice spirited fun run.”

It’s a festive 5K run that takes the scenic holiday-lit route of downtown.

Emi Guerra: “We go along the new river of Fort Lauderdale. You get to see the water, you get to see the trees, it’s very safe, it’s well lit, everyone has a great time doing it.”

Don’t think you have to be Usain Bolt to join, this is for everyone!

Emi Guerra: “There’s runners, there’s joggers, there’s walkers, there’s something for all athletic classes. It’s really just meant to be what’s called a “fun run” where people could just have a good time.”

And after the run, the real fun begins.

Emi Guerra: “When you finish the run, and you end up back at the Wharf Fort Lauderdale, the party just starts. There is a ceremony for everyone to get their medal, and everyone gets a drink ticket. Everyone gets to mingle and hang out. It’s a nice time.”

If you live in the 305 and can’t make it to the wharf in Fort Lauderdale…

Emi Guerra: “Miami, we haven’t forgotten about you, and Coral Gables specifically, this one is for you.”

The Christmas pop-up has made its grand return to JohnMartin’s on Miracle Mile.

Emi Guerra: “Are you kidding me? This place is decorated insane! The second you walk in and turn the corner, you see tons of lights and lots of garland. Presents everywhere. It really is the epitome of Christmas spirit.”

The holiday spirit isn’t the only thing you’re getting.

Emi Guerra: “Aside from the over-the-top decor. We also have DJs. We have an incredible specialty on the cocktail menu that you must try. Come by the Christmas pop-up bar at JohnMartin’s; you can not miss it. It’s the best pop-up bar in Miami.”

The jolly jog takes place on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 7 pm.

Runners are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

An Italian restaurant in Broward offers authentic home cooking favorites and unique holiday drinks https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/an-italian-restaurant-in-broward-offers-authentic-home-cooking-favorites-and-unique-holiday-drinks/ Tue, 16 Dec 2025 01:21:29 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1651147 Everybody loves getting presents at the holidays. Hint, hint. Don’t worry — I’m sure something fabulous is coming your way.

An Italian restaurant in Broward is gifting you with a special holiday offer you can’t refuse.

Italian food at Christmas puts a smile on everybody’s face. At Anthony’s Runway 84 in Fort Lauderdale, the authentic home cooking will make you very happy.

Anthony Bruno: “This is more southern style, more of what we grew up with, my grandparents made, my mother obviously, and kinda what we know in this country as Italian food.”

The popular restaurant is packed every night. At this time of year, it’s basically bursting at the seams.

“Christmas is huge, yeah, Christmas is huge, you know, for everybody.”

Dinner at the runway always brings people together. But right now, it’s lunch that’s the big deal.

Anthony Bruno: “So we’re open every Friday during the year for power lunch. In December, we open up every day, Tuesday through Friday, power lunch from twelve o’clock, the kitchen goes on all day long.”

That means from noon to 4 p.m., you can feast like it’s supper time, even though the sun is shining.

Anthony Bruno: “The power menu is the regular menu; you can eat whatever you want. We have a few lunch specials also that we have on the power lunch.”

You have your pick of favorites from the old country. Chicken parmigiana, as big as an island. A pair of mighty meatballs, with a dollop of ricotta cheese. Shrimp oreganata, waiting patiently on the half-shell. And that old stand-by, rigatoni in tomato sauce.

Anthony Bruno: “If you can’t get here at night, come for power lunch.”

The bar is just as busy as the kitchen. They’re turning out seasonal cocktails, like “Winter Wonderland” and the “Gingerbread Old Fashioned.” Enjoy your drink, but you’ll never get as lit as the dining room.

Anthony Bruno: “We started with about $50,000 in decorations. We’ve been decorating since Nov. 2.”

Anthony’s is prepared to give you a Christmas lunch to remember.

Anthony Bruno: “We’ve been doing this for a long time, we put hospitality first, you know, we’re all over it.”

Deco serves up French fine dining and an Italian scratch kitchen at these SoFlo spots https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/deco-serves-up-french-fine-dining-and-an-italian-scratch-kitchen-at-these-soflo-spots/ Thu, 11 Dec 2025 03:43:15 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1649859 Deco’s serving up a double helping of deliciousness with two very different spots. From fine dining to a scratch kitchen, these foodie havens are feeding customers with next level talent. They’re celebrating art and providing great service down to the bone.

Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green in “Friends”: Decaf, cappuccino for Joey. Latte. And an ice tea. I’m getting pretty good at this.”

Like in the show “Friends,” great service is hard to find.

At the heart of Brickell, Claudie is summoning France’s attention to detail with dishes to share.

Michael de Carvalho: “Everybody in the south of France likes to eat, likes to share a meal. You want to order lots of dishes to have the choice to eat anything you’d like, whether it’s meat or fish.”

Their grilled whole fish is served to make sure you only eat the good stuff.

Michael de Carvalho: “We debone it tableside. We want to represent the service in the south of France, that’s why we do a lot of tableside. We also have some delicious pastas with caviar. And the famous snails that everyone loves or hates in France.”

Drinks here are very artsy.

Michael de Carvalho: “Each cocktail is linked to an artist. For example, we have the Eau de Coco, which is inspired by the Saint-Tropez City and also Coco Chanel.”

Guest: “The vibe is amazing. The service is amazing. Claudie is one of my favorite spots in Miami.”

Antonino’s in Hollywood is a 65-year-old spot and keeping up with the pizza tradition.

Hector Cruz: “This is a real homey pizzeria. When you come in, when people come in, they feel like they’re in their living room listening to music, watching TV, the news, whatever we may have on. We always have Channel 7 on.”

From “She Bangs” chicken wings to pastas, they’ve expanded their menu to also create pizza art.

Hector Cruz: “Bring me any type of action figure, cartoon, I can turn that into a pizza. Your logo for your business. Anything that has some type of character in it.”

What about a Deco Drive one?

Hector Cruz: “You don’t have 5 hours, it’s very intricate, it’s going to be this big and we’re gonna send it to Deco Drive. Everything here is fresh, it’s a scratch kitchen. If you do like good food and homemade, made to order, scratch food, this is the place to come because we do it with extra, extra, extra love.”

Guest: “It’s amazing. They have the best pizza in Hollywood for sure. And I’ve never seen a place that does sesame seed crust on their pizza and it’s fantastic.”

Antonino’s came through and made Deco our very own pizza. How a-dough-rable!.

Collectible company Wax Poetics places Mariah Carey’s first demo tape up for auction https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/collectible-company-wax-poetics-places-mariah-careys-first-demo-tape-up-for-auction/ Thu, 11 Dec 2025 01:01:51 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1649863 She’s one of the greatest singers of all time! Mariah Carey is an international superstar who’s sold millions of records. Now the singer’s first demo tape is going up for auction—and there’s a South Florida connection.

Few artists can match the chart-topping power of Mariah Carey with back-to-back bangers like “Emotions,” “Vision of Love,” and “Fantasy.”

But before she became the ultimate pop diva, Mariah had to make a demo tape. Yes, kids, before Spotify, you had to listen to music on one of these things. Mariah’s old cassette features early versions of “Someday,” and “All in Your Mind.”

Now the tape is hitting the auction block.

Arthur Baker: “It’s a demo Mariah was shopping around before she had a record deal.”

Deco met up with producer Arthur Baker in Miami Shores. He was introduced to Mariah by R&B singer Brenda K. Star back in 1988.

Arthur Baker: “She said to me, ‘This is my background singer, and she’s got a great demo.’ We go to my edit room, put the cassette in, and it’s what we now know as Mariah Carey, the voice.”

Turns out there are unverified tapes that have been leaked on YouTube, like this one.

But Arthur’s tape is the real deal. Collectible company “Wax Poetics” is offering the cassette. Bidding is up to $23,000.

She has crazy fans, they like to collect her stuff, and this is one of a kind.

It could be the perfect stocking stuffer for the ultimate Mariah fan. They’ll just have to get one of these contraptions to play it.

The bidding ends at 3 p.m. on Thursday. To place yours, click here.

It’s all going down at the Miami Beach Bandshell for the first time. And that’s not the only thing that’s new.

Music artist Shaggy makes a comeback with new album https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/music-artist-shaggy-makes-a-comeback-with-new-album/ Tue, 09 Dec 2025 03:20:21 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1649145 Shaggy’s back with a full album, and he’s feeling lucky.

His new single “Boom Body” is out and cashing in big with the fans.

Shaggy: “Everybody just throw your hands in the air and wave it like you don’t care.”

Mister Boombastic a-k-a. Shaggy loves to hype up the people.

But hyping himself up to drop a new album took some time.

Shaggy: “I haven’t put out a solo Shaggy album out in six years. I did some projects, side projects. I did Sinatra in Reggae, Me and Sting.”

Shaggy: “You should tell that story. I was gonna. I was about to start, and then you interrupted me as usual.”

Shaggy: “Ok.”

Sting: “So about three years ago.”

Shaggy: “I just want to make sure you said it correctly.”

Sting: “Can I start now?”

Shaggy: “Ok, yeah.”

Shaggy: “It’s nice when you get Sting singing dancehall, so it’s good.”

Shaggy: “He loves doing dancehall. He loves doing Reggae. He’s really big in the culture. Not a lot of people know that some of his biggest songs were written in Jamaica.”

Shaggy: “And I did a Soca EP with me and Kes and a bunch of us. And so I just wanted to do a full Shaggy one, you know.”

“Lottery” is due out in March with exciting collabs including his bestie, Sting. For the reggae star, timing is everything.

Shaggy: “But a full-length album, you know, I wasn’t in a place where I wanted to do it. Except now I’m happy with what I came up with. Got songs with me and Jeremiah, I got songs with me and Robin Thicke. Songs with Anthony Hamilton and me. Of course, the single with me, Akon, and Aidonia.”

“Boombody” is the first single from the record.

Horror icons Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich reunite for more jump scares, pizza in ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/horror-icons-matthew-lillard-and-skeet-ulrich-reunite-for-more-jump-scares-pizza-in-five-nights-at-freddys-2/ Sat, 06 Dec 2025 03:27:28 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1648620 If you’re a horror fan, you’ll recognize the two stars in our next story. Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich are back — just not where you’d expect. This time, they’re stepping into the world of “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.”

The horror world just got a reunion.

The original “Scream” boys Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich team up again for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,” and this is how they’re feeling.

Matthew Lillard: “Horrible. It’s the worst experience ever, I regret ever knowing him.”

Skeet Ulrich: “To be honest, I love Matt, I think he’s one of the greatest people I know and for many, many reasons, and so it’s always nice to be around him.”

The duo says stepping into this video game inspired universe came with plenty of new thrills and new animatronics that you should watch out for!

Matthew Lillard: “The idea that ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is such a huge voracious fanbase that’s been around for a long time. The thing I think we are really excited about, I think some of the fans wanted it a little scarier, they wanted a little more jump scares, and the reality is that Scott Cawthon, the game creator, and Emma Tammi went out and delivered that.”

Even they weren’t expecting some of the surprises hidden in this sequel.

Skeet Ulrich: “It’s scarier, it’s bigger, it’s faster, it’s an incredible film and it’s an incredible ride and I think as long as people come out jabbering about it and we live up to the lore that’s in their minds, which is daunting!”

And of course, we had to ask the obvious.

If they had to survive one night inside that pizzeria, what’s the plan?

Skeet Ulrich: “I would try to gain 10 pounds before I die.”

Matthew Lillard: “Just keep eating pepperoni pizza. Yeah, no, I would lose.”

“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is in theaters now.

Wynwood artist Peter Tunney bids farewell with final show, Lina Cerrone Gallery debuts mind-bending gallery https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/wynwood-artist-peter-tunney-bids-farewell-with-final-show-lina-cerrone-gallery-debuts-mind-bending-gallery/ Thu, 04 Dec 2025 02:30:52 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1647849 Miami Art Week is serving up a little nostalgia — and a lot of mind-bending magic. One artist is saying goodbye to the place he helped build, while another is making pieces that act like optical illusions. Here’s a look at about six or seven paintings, or more, who knows!

After 15 years of coloring Wynwood, Peter Tunney, the man who helped turn the Miami neighborhood into a global art destination, is gearing up for his final show.

Peter Tunney: “This room will take you at least a day to go through, between the diaries, the small paintings, the details in the paintings.”

Tunney’s last exhibit, titled “Small is Beautiful,” flips his playbook.

Instead of big, bold statements, he’s going mini. Because sometimes, smaller is better.

Peter Tunney: “My last show that I’m doing in Wynwood Walls, it’s called ‘Small is Beautiful,’ and there’s about 100 small, little charming paintings that I slaved over each one. It’s my truth, it’s my own ecosystem, and then I poured my energy into all of these small paintings.”

And as he closes this chapter, Tunney leaves behind a whole lot of gratitude!

Just a few blocks away, an art experience that literally moves with you.

French artist Véronique Barrillot is bringing her quantum painting magic to the 305.

Véronique Barrillot: “I’m producing what we call the quantum art because I am able to concentrate on two images at the same time. Your brain, the viewer’s brain, will only see one image, and then by stepping back, they’ll fall onto the other image.”

Her “double-vision” style stacks multiple images on one canvas, and will be displayed at the Lina Cerrone Gallery through February.

Véronique Barrillot: “It’s an experience that people will never have lived before because I am the only one on earth who can do that. You’re gonna see many subjects telling different stories and, very often, I’m choosing some characters who took part in the history.”

‘LOUD’ roars across Miami Gardens for a week filled with fashion and art exhibits https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/loud-roars-across-miami-gardens-for-a-week-filled-with-fashion-and-art-exhibits/ Wed, 03 Dec 2025 01:17:52 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1647502 Miami Art Week is about to bloom, and “Loud” is planting the biggest seed of all. Creatives are coming together and turning Miami Gardens into a magical place. It’s a week filled with exhibits, fashion, art, and of course, a roaring good time.

Let’s get loud, Miami!

Dr. Karine Melissa, co-creator of Loud: “Loud, Love of Urban Design, has just become this hub for all things creative about us. We are really being loud about who we are and our culture and the love of it.”

This week-long cultural movement is all about growth this year, and the city of Miami Gardens is happy to host.

Dr. Karine Melissa: “This year’s theme is bloom. We are talking about how we are blooming as creatives. This is going to be most creative show yet.”

Fashion disruptors, “Cool Creative,” love to think outside the box.

Johanne Wilson, creator of cool: My husband is the illustrator, I do the design. People in music, in politics, you know, from MLK, Malcolm to Diana Ross. I mean, just all kinds of cultural icons. I just loved the drawings so much, and I just started putting them on clothing, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and even jackets.”

Singer and host Jennifer Hudson is a fan.

Johanne Wilson, creator of cool: “You think no one’s paying attention, and then I guess they are. Jennifer Hudson’s stylist reached out to us. Jennifer has been; she pretty much has the entire collection.”

Trying things out is the focus this year.

Johanne Wilson: “Corsets are really in, but what if you took a corset and threw it over a sweatshirt, what if there were two, you layered two or three. I don’t know, why not? And so we’re just having fun.”

Celebrating local artists, like Lump, is the heart of the event.

Lump, creator of Lavish and Looney: “loud piece, loud art, to go with loud fashion. I’ll be showcasing, I think, in this particular one, six pieces. All my pieces are fairly large. So it’s going to take up a lot of space.”

Be on the lookout for some feminine energy in his work.

Lump: “I love Deco Drive, have been watching it for years. Women are kinda like my go-to, and diamonds are kinda like my staple, so I kinda like to incorporate that in almost every personal painting I do.”

Deco’s Shireen Sandoval takes on 4 recent movie releases as awards season heats up https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/decos-shireen-sandoval-takes-on-4-recent-movie-releases-as-awards-season-heats-up/ Fri, 28 Nov 2025 14:27:47 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1646332 ‘Tis the season … and I’m not just talking about the holidays. It’s the time of year when some of the major award season contenders hit the big screen. Here’s Shireen’s take on four recent films that have critics and audiences buzzing.

Rami Malek (as Douglas Kelley): “He’s highly intelligent, charming, and a narcissist.”

Russell Crowe (as Hermann Göring): “I’m going to escape the hangman’s noose.”

Rami Malek (as Douglas Kelley): “Very sure of yourself.”

Russell Crowe (as Hermann Göring): “No man has ever beaten me.”

Cinema is rooted in history in “Nuremberg.”

Russell Crowe and Rami Malek are locked in a psychological showdown set after the events of World War II.

But it’s Crowe’s performance as Nazi leader Göring that takes center stage. The actor delivers a chilling, career-best performance that showcases he’s still one of Hollywood’s greatest stars.

The competition is stiff, but don’t be surprised if “Nuremberg” emerges as a dark horse this awards season.

Oscar Isaac (as Dr. Victor Frankenstein): “In seeking life, I created death.”

Sometimes the real monster comes from within. That’s a message director Guillermo del Toro explores in his take on “Frankenstein”, starring Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi.

The film tackles heavy themes of generational trauma, forgiveness and what it means to be human … all cloaked in del Toro’s signature style. The result is a visually stunning, powerful film that not only entertains but engages its audience.

With its captivating screenplay and extraordinary makeup and costume designs, “Frankenstein” is poised to be all charged up at the Oscars.

Ariana Grande (as Glinda, singing): “I know I’m who I am today because I knew you.”

Witch, please. When it comes to this year’s blockbusters, it doesn’t get any bigger, or greener, than “Wicked: For Good.”

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande return as Elphaba and Glinda in the epic conclusion of the beloved musical. Grande steals the spotlight with a performance that’s equally bubbly, captivating and heartfelt. And her chemistry with Erivo continues to be the real magic behind the movies.

It’s a good film, but the source material’s weaker second act keeps “Wicked: For Good” from flying as high as the first movie.

Paul Mescal (as William Shakespeare): “Is it true? You know everything about a person by touching them here?”

Jessie Buckley (as Agnes): “Not everything.”

The greatest stories can come from tragedy, and that’s definitely the case when it comes to “Hamnet.”

Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal star in this historical drama that explores the love story of William and Agnes Shakespeare … and the loss that inspired one of his greatest masterpieces.

However, this is not his story; it’s hers. Buckley is a force to be reckoned with, delivering an emotional, haunting performance that’s seemingly impossible to compete with.

That, paired with Chloé Zhao’s direction and the film’s message about the healing power of art, makes “Hamnet” a real winner.

Nashbash brings a taste of Music City to Miami Art Week — and it’s much more than country https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/nashbash-brings-a-taste-of-music-city-to-miami-art-week-and-its-much-more-than-country/ Fri, 28 Nov 2025 00:32:34 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1646039 There’s no denying Nashville has a huge country music scene. But that’s not the only genre hitting a high note in the music city. Deco’s getting the 411 on a festival that’s ready to rock the 305 this weekend.

Saddle up and let the good times roll! Miami Art Week is getting off to a rockin’ start, all thanks to Nashbash.

Nashbash organizer: “Nashbash is a one-day festival that showcases the best of Nashville in Miami.”

This event is more than just a concert at the Miami Beach Bandshell. It’s a celebration of the different kinds of music making waves in Tennessee.

Someone: “A lot of people, especially in other states, associate Nashville only with country music. But Nashville is so much more than country. It’s got an incredible alt rock scene, Americana scene, all sorts of genres.”

Maggie Rose (singing): “This life is going to leave you breathless, but you catch it every time.”

One act taking the stage is Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Maggie Rose. She’s one of the festival’s co-headliners. And you can count on her to bring the soul and Americana vibes.

Nashbash organizer: “She is one of the most incredible voices that leaves people’s jaws on the floor.”

Also on the lineup is alternative rock band Moon Taxi.

Trevor Terndrup (singing): “If you’re a little bit scared, be a little bit brave. Don’t ever be afraid to say what you gotta say.”

They’re closing out the event, and they’re super excited to play their first show in Miami Beach.

Trevor Terndrup: “It’s our first time there, so we wanna get it right.”

But that’s not the only reason they can’t wait to come to the 305.

Trevor Terndrup: “We’re stoked because it actually snowed here in Nashville this morning, so Miami in November sounds pretty awesome to us.”

Moon Taxi has played major festivals like Bonnaroo and Coachella. So they know what it takes to get the crowd hyped up.

Trevor Terndrup: “The music is diverse. It’s really dance-y. It’s sing-along, it’s engaging, and it’s perfect for beach vibes.”

Trevor Terndrup (singing): “Once we’re gone, this place won’t be the same. We’ll go down together in the hall of fame.”

Nash Bash is going down this Sunday.

Grammy winner Samara Joy opens up about new jazz album ahead of Arsht Center concert https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/grammy-winner-samara-joy-opens-up-about-new-jazz-album-ahead-of-arsht-center-concert/ Fri, 28 Nov 2025 00:32:30 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1646118 Jazz queen Samara Joy is back with a brand-new album, and she’s hitting notes so smooth, they’re generating Grammy buzz. Deco’s got the inside scoop on her new work, and it’s giving award-worthy vibes.

The scatting 26 year-old Samara Joy is being compared to jazz legends like Ella Fitzgerald.

Samara Joy: “I feel very honored and sometimes undeserving because of how new my relationship to their music was initially. I draw inspiration from Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, that through the course of their lives contributed to the changing, to the evolution of the music that we call jazz.”

Samara Joy: “I know that there’s there’s always going to be a certain sense of nostalgia and a certain artist or song that people can connect to or relate to easily, because jazz is not mainstream.”

Samara is definitely trying to make jazz memorable with her new album, “Portrait.”

Samara Joy: “I think this album taught me the importance of patience and not rushing to stay relevant or spark up a moment, or just stay in that moment. It just – it taught me to just take my time and really wait until you have something you feel like you have to say.”

And staying true to herself is the right direction, even after winning five Grammys.

Samara Joy: “It was definitely a big leap, I think, from maybe what people thought I should do after the second album, after [winning] the Best New Artist [Grammy], after all of that kind of stuff.”

Samara Joy (singing): “Where do you find, your peace of mind.”

Samara Joy: “My song is called ‘Peace of Mind,’ and I wrote it in a time where I was really questioning whether I could continue or not.”

Continuing to make things bigger and better is what this global star has in mind.

Samara Joy: “This is just a springboard for all of the other creative ideas that I have and what I feel like I have to offer.”

Samara will perform live at the Arsht Center on Thursday, Feb. 12.

The power of the ‘Jo Bros’ — and social media — helped an Army vet gain attention to his résumé https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/the-power-of-the-jo-bros-and-social-media-helped-an-army-vet-gain-attention-to-his-resume/ Fri, 28 Nov 2025 00:32:26 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1646031 It’s hard to ignore a good viral moment when it happens, especially a career changing one.

Imagine waking up to millions of posts about you when all you did was send in a résumé. A special guy is getting some recognition, thanks to the power of the “Jo Bros.”

Getting a résumé looked at by a human is a big deal these days … but at a Jonas brothers concert?!

That’s like a “Year 3000” commitment. Which is why Jen Wilson posted this viral video on TikTok.

Jen: “It just, it was not the place that you would normally see something like that, in my opinion. I thought to myself, like, ‘This is the stuff you see on the internet,’ like, ‘This isn’t something you see in real life.’ And also, we’re at a Jonas Brothers concert.”

Zoom in, and see the PDF belongs to Army vet Scott Kelly. Fifty million-plus views and tons of comments later, Kelly’s become a household name.

Scott Kelly: “I got a message from a buddy of mine while sitting in class saying, ‘Hey, dude, you’re going famous on TikTok.'”

The Bros seeing the post jump in, with Nick writing that Scott’s work ethic and critical thinking inspired one of their songs.

Joe follows with, “Bro, Scott Kelly was there for me many times. Hired.”

Then Kevin comments, “I’m one of Scott Kelly’s references.”

Other big companies like Pepsi and AT&T joined in, wanting to hire the guy.

Nick Jonas: “Twenty years ago, the world looked a lot different — our cars, our clothes, our communication and even our hair. Along the way, we’ve learned the most important lesson of all: to cherish every moment.”

This all went down during their 20-year full circle celebration, “Greetings from Your Hometown Tour” at KeyBank Center in New York.

Jonas Brothers (singing): “I can’t lose when I’m with you.”

There they perform new and old hits and bring on top singers like Mario.

Mario (singing): “Baby, you should let me love you.”

Loving every sweet moment is Scott Kelly, who didn’t even know the group’s star power.

Scott Kelly: “Yeah, pop culture has never been my strong suite.”

But now he’s just one of the boys.

Scott Kelly: “Got a selfie together. And they said, ‘Hey, if you ever want tickets, you know, we’re going to set you up with our team.'”

And it’s all thanks to the power social media.

Scott Kelly: “I am grateful for Jen, and I think a lot of good’s ultimately going to come of this.”

Meghan Trainor tells Deco about confidence and clap backs in new album, upcoming tour https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/meghan-trainor-tells-deco-about-confidence-and-clap-backs-in-new-album-upcoming-tour/ Thu, 27 Nov 2025 01:11:50 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1645942 Meghan Trainor is turning up the volume on her music and her message. She’s got a new single and a new album on the way. Get ready for confidence, clap backs and Meghan like you’ve never seen her.

Meghan Trainor is back with new music, a new attitude and a tour.

Her single, “Still Don’t Care,” just dropped with a music video, paving the way for her upcoming album, “Toy With Me,” out April 24.

Meghan Trainor: “It’s my album from my thirties, you know, I am 31 and thriving and I’m also, like, a mom of two young kids and I’m going through real life stuff like all of us are going through and just, I write down anything I’m feeling in that time period when I’m in the studio. So, I felt a lot of anger, I felt sadness and extra love. I felt a lot of love too and I wrote that in a lot of my songs.”

The singer let us in on what shaped this next chapter.

The first track fires back at body shamers — and Meghan says she’s ready to own her growth.

Meghan Trainor: “I got angry, I got feisty on a few songs. You can hear that right away. This song, ‘Still Don’t Care,’ was a lot on my anger and sadness towards, like, reading everything online. They’re like, ‘She’s unrecognizable, she’s not the girl that she was with ‘All About That Base.” And I’m like, ‘That was 11 years ago. I hope I’m better. I hope that I’ve grown up since 19. I’m gonna do me and I’m going to love me as I am because I’m so proud of myself.'”

Next summer, she’s taking all that energy on the road with “The Get in Girl tour,” kicking off June 12.

Meg’s stepping in with pure confidence, and yes, the clap backs are also making their way to the stage.

Meghan Trainor: “I just want to dance. I want to dance and escape and have the best night ever with everyone. I want them to feel like that every night. And I want, that’s why we called it ‘Get in Girl,’ because everyone’s welcome. And get in and escape all your real life problems for the night.”

You can catch Meghan Trainor on tour in Orlando next summer.

SoFlo’s Jeanine Mason talks about finding purpose, battling aliens ahead of final season for ‘WondLa’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/soflos-jeanine-mason-talks-about-finding-purpose-battling-aliens-ahead-of-final-season-for-wondla/ Tue, 25 Nov 2025 01:09:31 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1645235 If you’re into animation that’s epic, emotional and a little out of this world — Apple TV+ has you covered. The final season of “WondLa” drops Wednesday, and this one takes the adventure to a whole new level. You can expect a lot of action, and a lot of heart.

SoFlo’s very own Jeanine Mason is back as Eva in the third and final season of the fantasy sci-fi series, “WondLa.”

And this time, her character is facing her wildest mission yet as she tries to discover her purpose and where she came from.

Jeanine Mason: “Season three, is, like, epic in proportion, to, you know, what we’ve seen before. It’s been, like, emotional and the relationship journeys, you know, she’s an enthusiastic protagonist, and now she’s, like, lit up. She’s got her mission.”

And her journey gets more intense: Aliens and humans go to war!

Jeanine brings power and personality to Eva.

And yes, you can catch a little of that Miami spice in her performance.

Jeanine Mason: “You know I love Deco Drive and it’s a part of me wherever I go, it is my hometown and and all the people who have informed who I am as a human, that seeps into my characters. And there’s no getting around that, I’m grateful.”

This last chapter digs deep into Eva’s courage and the people who shape her.

The message at the core of the show? It’s unity.

Jeanine Mason: “She’s so grounded in her convictions, and it’s so easy for her to take care of people and it’s so instinctual for her to nurture others and fight for others. “

So we had to ask, where would Jeanine take Eva if she ever landed right here in the 305.

Jeanine Mason: “Bueno, I feel like she would love a little ventanita somewhere. She’d be like, ‘What are all these pastries!'”

Brendan Fraser talks about overcoming apathy, making connections in new dramedy, ‘Rental Family’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/brendan-fraser-talks-about-overcoming-apathy-making-connections-in-new-dramedy-rental-family/ Sat, 22 Nov 2025 03:00:23 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1644390 When you’re little, playing make-believe is easy. As you get older, pretending to be someone you’re not is weird and you may need help. Brendan Fraser, on the other hand, does it for a living and he’s pretty good at it, especially in his new movie “Rental Family.” He’s telling Deco all about it.

There are no small roles, but there are unusual gigs and unexpected circumstances.

Brendan Fraser is playing the part in the new dramedy “Rental Family.”

He portrays a struggling actor living in Japan, who finds work at an agency that hires real life stand-ins.

The roles may be fake, but Brendan says the genuine connections and purpose his character finds along the way are very real.

Brendan Fraser: “A pretty basic rule for any performer is that as long as you believe what you’re doing, your audience will too. And sometimes, there’s no acting required.”

“Rental Family” shows the actor playing many different parts, depending on what the clients are looking for. But as the lines between performance and reality blur, something universal emerges.

Brendan Fraser: “It’s a love letter to loneliness. It’s addressed to Tokyo, but it could be anywhere in the world. It could be in Miami. It’s very likely it is. It’s possible to feel secluded in a very busy place. And it’s important to reach out and ask for help.”

Because sometimes, people can be their own worst enemies, and the battles they fight are internal.

Brendan Fraser: “There’s no villain in this movie, for instance, apart from our own human apathy if you think about it. You gonna do something about this or not? That’s the obstacle.”

“Rental Family” is in theaters now and the time of year that coincides with the release isn’t lost on Brendan.

So if you’re feeling a little stressed this holiday season, he says life can imitate art.

Brendan Fraser: “If your own family is driving you up the wall, you can come and rent one with me for a couple of hours in Tokyo. I promise you, you’ll walk away feeling a little bit different, in a better mood, than you were when you walked in the door.”

Megan Thee Stallion testifies in Miami courtroom in defamation lawsuit against blogger in connection to Tory Lanez shooting https://wsvn.com/entertainment/megan-thee-stallion-testifies-in-miami-courtroom-in-defamation-lawsuit-against-blogger-in-connection-to-tory-lanez-shooting/ Thu, 20 Nov 2025 22:59:27 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1643871 Megan Thee Stallion provided an emotional testimony in a Miami courtroom in her defamation lawsuit against a social media blogger in connection to a 2020 incident where she was shot by Tory Lanez.

The 30-year-old Grammy winner, whose legal name is Megan Pete, testified about her life and career before a court, building up to why she filed a defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper in October 2024.

Pete described living in South Florida and growing up in Texas, where she chose her stage name, saying “in Texas, when you’re tall and curvy, people call you a stallion” as she went on to become known for her provocative, body-positive lyrics.

She’s accusing Cooper of being a “puppet, or mouth piece” for rapper Tory Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson.

It stems from an argument that occurred between Pete and Peterson following a party in 2020.

The pair were in a car together when Peterson shot at Pete, injuring her foot.

Peterson was found guilty on three felony counts and sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023.

During Peterson’s trial, Pete claims Cooper targeted her on social media, calling her a liar, an alcoholic and produced deep fake sexual videos of her.

“Everyone felt like I deserved to get shot because I talk about sex and I twerk. I’m the one who was shot. I don’t understand why I am the bad guy in this situation,” she told the court. “Honestly, I’m still not OK. I am upset about being shot. I still haven’t even fully processed I was shot.”

She also shared she went to a facility to deal with post-traumatic stress after the shooting.

Also taking the stand was Amiel Holland-Briggs, a former social media moderator who worked with Cooper.

“Cooper’s behavior was ‘cult like’ and ‘wrong’ as she targeted Megan Thee Stallion,” he said.

He went on to explain why he would later stop working with Cooper.

“We had a lot of different arguments. The narrative that was put out, it was very very uncomfortable,” he said. “She [Cooper] was engaging in cyber bullying of other YouTubers. She was doing these weird things that I didn’t agree with.”

Pete is seeking an unspecified amount of money to cover attorney fees and other costs to remedy the alleged harm. She’s also requesting a court-ordered injunction to permanently stop Cooper from any further harassment and defamation.

Sip some cocoa and soak in the sun while you ‘sleigh’ the Christmas season at InterContinental Miami https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/sip-some-cocoa-and-soak-in-the-sun-while-you-sleigh-the-christmas-season-at-intercontinental-miami/ Wed, 19 Nov 2025 01:08:57 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1643157 If you love holiday magic but not the cold — we have just the place! InterContinental Miami is turning into a sunny, sparkly holiday playground, and it’s pretty hard not to get swept up in it. So grab your cocoa, your sunglasses and check out what they’re rolling out this season.

This is your invite!

Miami doesn’t do snow — but the InterContinental? They’re making the holidays happen — tropical style.

And if you’re wondering where to “sleigh” this season, the poolside cabanas are getting a festive makeover.

Luisa Martinez: “It’s sun, it’s fun, it’s Santa. Our Christmas cabana includes beautiful ocean views, it’s poolside so you can enjoy beautiful pictures, while getting a tan.”

From now through New Year’s Eve, the hotel turns into a sunny “winter” escape — think lights, palm trees and a whole lotta cheer.

Luisa Martinez: “The cabana is fully decorated in Christmas decor, as well as welcome you with some coconuts. It also includes a bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne, which is the key ingredient to some delicious festive cocktails, including our poinsettia drinks.”

There’s also a full-on holiday suite. A tree, Christmas movies, the whole deal for up to four guests.

Luisa Martinez: “You are in our Christmas suite, the InterContinental suite has been transformed into a winter wonderland! We’ve got over six Christmas trees, stockings, hot cocoa bar, we’ve got nutcrackers, Olaf welcomes you as soon as you walk through that door, beautiful pillows and ribbons and bows, all decorating this Christmas suite. We’ve also got a table setting for you to share dinner with your family. Along with the suite, you have access to our Club InterContinental Lounge, which offers daily breakfast, as well as evening happy hour.”

It’s basically a mini North Pole — just with better weather.

So if you want to celebrate the season without wearing four layers, the InterContinental has you covered.

Luisa Martinez: “This suite is for everyone. For families, for friends, for anybody who wants to enjoy a truly tropical Christmas.”

You can take selfies with Frosty and see the brightest Christmas decor at these 2 jolly SoFlo spots https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/you-can-take-selfies-with-frosty-and-see-the-brightest-christmas-decor-at-these-2-jolly-soflo-spots/ Tue, 18 Nov 2025 01:22:21 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1642783 If you’re looking for holiday spots around SoFlo — we found two that really stand out. One’s a secret bar and the other is a restaurant that goes all-in on Christmas decor. Here’s a quick look at both, so you know where to get your holiday fix.

Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who singing “Where Are You Christmas?” from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”: “Where are you Christmas, why can’t I find you?”

Don’t worry, Christmas isn’t missing — we tracked it down at two SoFlo spots that are way ahead of the game.

Hidden in the InterContinental Miami is Frosty’s Hideaway, a tiny holiday underground pop-up bar that’s cozy and merry.

You can even snap selfies with Frosty himself!

Luisa Martinez: “Back for its second year, we have Frosty’s Hideaway. We’ve transformed our speakeasy, Freddy’s, into a wonderful space for friends and family to enjoy. The Intercontinental does just that, it brings in that festive atmosphere, allows you to enjoy your drinks, enjoy music, enjoy the Christmas spirit.”

And the drinks? Sweet, seasonal and definitely strong enough to make you feel jolly.

Luisa Martinez: “The ticketed event includes a welcome drink, which is a coquito, and one of the crafted festive cocktails is the choco-tini, with delicious roasted marshmallows.”

Now we’re heading to Rosalia’s Kitchen, where Christmas decor takes over the entire restaurant.

Every corner is covered. Lights, garland, ornaments, you name it.

Rafael Brazon-di Fatta: “Right when you come in, you see this whole, long line of tinsel with ornaments hanging. It’s just very full, very colorful, very bright. Something else that really stands out is our wall, that has, like, a tacky gift wrap, with little ornaments in it.”

Their holiday menu matches the look — new festive dishes and cocktails made just for the season.

Rafael Brazon-di Fatta: “We do crazy cocktails, ‘d’Grinch’ is back. We also have our ‘Santa Sleigh Ride Buzz,’ it is a spiked apple cider with ginger and whiskey, and it comes in an actual sleigh with a Christmas tree on the side. We have the ‘Mrs. Claus’ Sugar Cookietini,’ which is a very creamy and velvety sugar cookie martini, and then we also have our famous ‘Jingle Juice.’ We have a white Christmas pinsa.”

Rafael Brazon-di Fatta: “We have our Christmas tree spaghetti, is back. We also have our brand new tortellini Bolognese. We have the coffee-crusted salmon. The star dish of the season is our dessert, it’s our velvety, chocolatey and hazelnut mousse cake, it’s not too sweet, not too hazelnutty, so it’s perfect for anyone who wants a really good Christmas dessert.”

So whether you want a hidden holiday bar or a full Christmas decor takeover — these two SoFlo spots have you covered.

The Horsemen reunite to pull off their greatest trick yet in thriller sequel, ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/the-horsemen-reunite-to-pull-off-their-greatest-trick-yet-in-thriller-sequel-now-you-see-me-now-you-dont/ Sat, 15 Nov 2025 02:41:56 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1642298 “Abracadabra” isn’t just a great Lady Gaga song; it’s a magic word magicians have been using for years. But instead of pulling a rabbit out of a hat, Deco’s using it to summon Jesse Eisenberg and Justice Smith to the 305 to talk about their new movie, “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.”

Reunited, and it feels so good! Or does it?

Justice Smith as Charlie: “You guys used to be the Horsemen.”

Ariana Greenblatt as June: “Why did you break up?”

Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney: “We made some huge mistakes. We got cocky.”

The Horsemen may be bickering, but they still have each other’s backs in “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.”

Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson and Isla Fisher are pulling off their greatest magic trick yet: A third installment in this spell-binding franchise!

Jesse Eisenberg: “It is probably the only fun I have professionally, is doing these movies. Most of the parts I play are just depressive people.”

Jesse’s not afraid to show his cards.

He loves these movies as much as fans do!

Jesse Eisenberg: “They’re celebrating cleverness and teamwork. We’re not trying to kill something. It’s like a movie that is pure and sweet and has great heart and is also a big magic trick.”

This time, the Horsemen are targeting a dangerous diamond dealer, and a heist this big calls for reinforcements. Like Justice Smith!

Jesse Eisenberg as J. Daniel Atlas: “Charlie, June and Bozo.”

Justice Smith as Charlie: “It’s Bosco. Bosco Leroy.”

Jesse Eisenberg as J. Daniel Atlas: “What, did you type fictional magician name into ChatGPT?”

Aw, it’s like one big, dysfunctional family! On screen and off…

Justice Smith: “Woody is definitely crazy uncle.”

Jesse Eisenberg: “Yes. Isla yells at me in a maternal way.”

Justice Smith: “Jesse I would say is like older cousin from like my dad’s side who I don’t see often, but every time I do, we go into the woods and smoke a joint and talk about philosophy “

And when it comes to father figures…

Jesse Eisenberg: “The father has to be Morgan Freeman.

Justice Smith: “Well there you go. Yes, definitely the father figure is Morgan Freeman.”

Jesse Eisenberg: “Morgan Freeman, like when you meet him, you feel like, ‘Oh, maybe he’s my dad.'”

The “Now You See Me” movies are full of magic but when it comes to a kind of trick these guys would like to see in future films…

Justice Smith: “Have you guys done the saw in half thing?”

Jesse Eisenberg: “No!”

Justice Smith: “That’s just a classic, like I feel like that should be done in some cool way.”

Jesse Eisenberg: “That would be good. You’re right, it’s like the perfect thing for a movie too.”

Pincho flips back the clock with classic meals to celebrate its 15th anniversary serving burgers https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/pincho-flips-back-the-clock-with-classic-meals-to-celebrate-its-15th-anniversary-serving-burgers/ Sat, 15 Nov 2025 02:38:48 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1642299 Pincho is flipping back the clock for its 15th anniversary and serving up the throwback hits that built this SoFlo burger joint one week at a time. Get those taste buds ready. Let’s fire up the memories and the grills.

Satisfying, flavorful cravings has been Pincho’s legacy for 15 years.

Otto Othman: “I think it’s like a Daddy Yankee moment for us. We sort of graduated from the reggaeton and now we want to give back to others.”

Chef Adrian Sanchez is the man behind some of the fan favorites.

Otto Othman: “Every Tuesday, they will come up with something incredible, something, like, crazy out of this world just to get people to talk about us. That became part of who we are. We became this Latin-inspired burger joint, although we sell skewers, which is, like, what Pincho is.”

To celebrate their milestone birthday…

Otto Othman: “We decided why not bring back four old school items.”

Otto Othman: “Next week’s special is the quesadilla burger.”

Adrian Sanchez: “So we are switching it up a little bit this year, we are doing a smash-style version of our quesadilla. We were gonna smash these down.”

It’s all about the bistec week of Nov. 21.

Otto Othman: “We created the pan con pincho. So instead of your typical bistec, it comes with a steak pincho in the middle.”

Adrian Sanchez: “This is very important. So this right here is what packs all the flavor in. There’s our secret mojo grilled onions.”

Then the cartel follows after.

Otto Othman: “We have the cartel burger and hotdog with the original mango sauce.”

Adrian Sanchez: “This is like one of the old school sauces of Pincho, which we’re bringing back just for this special. Our papitas go right on top.”

To wrap it up, it’s time to party Dec. 7.

Otto Othman: “We decided to throw a massive block party. So we’re doing a block party at Pincho Flagler. We have a surprise that day. I’ll give you a hint, it is the winner of our first SoBe wine burger bash. Everybody’s gonna know.”

Fan arrested, charged after grabbing Ariana Grande at ‘Wicked: For Good’ Singapore premiere https://wsvn.com/entertainment/fan-arrested-charged-after-grabbing-ariana-grande-at-wicked-for-good-singapore-premiere/ Fri, 14 Nov 2025 13:07:00 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1642075 SINGAPORE (WSVN) — There was panic during the Singapore premiere of “Wicked: For Good” when a crazed fan bum-rushed the yellow carpet and ran straight toward star Ariana Grande, leading authorities to make an arrest.

Video posted on social media captured Grande as she waved at fans alongside her co-stars on the yellow carpet at Thursday’s premiere at Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa Island.

But the unsuspecting Grammy winner and Oscar nominee was about to be waylaid.

The video shows the attacker, identified as 26-year-old Johnson Wen, as he jumped over a barricade, ran into the yellow carpet, grabbed Grande’s shoulder and put his arm around her. Then he started jumping up and down.

As security personnel sprinted toward the attacker, Grande’s co-star, Cynthia Erivo, came in between Grande and Wen and attempted to wrest him away from Grande.

The cast of Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, adapted from Gregory Maguire’s novel, have been traveling the globe the last few weeks to promote the second part of the “Wicked” journey.

This isn’t Wen’s first rodeo. The suspect, who has a reputation for his erratic behavior around celebrities, was also seen bum-rushing Katy Perry during a concert earlier this year.

Perry was seen rolling her eyes and continuing her performance before security guards removed Wen from the stage.

The Weeknd is another star targeted by Wen, who goes by Pyjama Man on Instagram, where Wen has posted his celebrity antics.

The incidents illustrate how red carpets can pose a risk for celebrities. Even though fans are respectful and security is tight, the setting leaves stars exposed and vulnerable.

Grande has shred that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder over her 2017 concert in Manchester, England, which was bombed. Twenty-two people were killed.

Wen, who hails from Australia, was arrested and charged with being a public nuisance. He was later released.

Lucky Lou’s Raw Bar in Deerfield Beach offers variety of oyster-centric dishes for all to enjoy https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/lucky-lous-raw-bar-in-deerfield-beach-offers-variety-of-oyster-centric-dishes-for-all-to-enjoy/ Fri, 14 Nov 2025 01:15:09 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1641966 Oysters — who gives a shuck? If you’re a fan or not — listen up. There’s a spot in Deerfield Beach finding all kinds of ways to serve up bi-valve beauties. So come out of your shell to shuck ’em out.

Juliette Lewis (as Kate Fuller): “Seth, are you OK?”

George Clooney (as Seth Gecko): “I’m peachy, Kate. The world is my oyster.”

Actually, George, you’ve got it backwards. At Lucky Lou’s, oysters are your world.

Amanda Currie: “We’re featuring oysters done 10 different ways meaning we’re trying to get oysters to be more approachable to the everyday public.”

There’s a variety of oyster-centric dishes that are bound to please everyone.

Amanda Currie: “If you’re adventurous, we got our raw oysters. You’re definitely gonna take those, slurp them. Our next tier would be the grilled oysters for a little, they’re cooked but you can still see the oyster so if you’re being slightly adventurous that’s where you go.”

Those of you who are a bit shell-shy can jump in here.

Amanda Currie: “I would say the ‘Oyster’s Rockefeller’ gets in more safe territory. ‘Oyster’s Rockefeller’ are covered with our cream spinach, Parmesan, then baked so that those are cooked fully.”

And for the beginners, a way to ease yourselves in.

Amanda Currie: “The fried oysters are like the easiest ones to eat right, so they’re done in a beer batter, really crispy, really light, fully cooked. It takes away that slimy texture that some people feel about oysters.”

Want more? Check out the “Po’ Boy.” Let’s just say it’s more than a mouthful. The same can be said for the tacos. It’s all part of a vibe.

Amanda Currie: “We wanted to bring a concept right into the beachfront that makes you feel like, ‘Hey! Sandy toes, salty skin,’ you know, just right off the beach, hitting those oysters.”

Here’s the secret ingredient that gives oysters their special taste.

Amanda Currie: “The really special part about oysters is what we call the liqueur. So it’s the sea brine that comes in naturally once the oyster’s shucked.”

We had to ask one very important question. Do oysters really boost your sex life?

Amanda Currie: “I don’t know how true that is, buy I highly encourage you to come for date night and then you can let me know how true that is.”

Well, you might not have to wait until the weekend to test your odds. One Coral Gables bar is turning Thursday nights into “a game of chance”. We’re talking cocktails, good food, and a grand ol’ time.

At Copper 29, Thursdays are no longer just the day before Friday.. It’s your lucky night.

The Coral Gables bar is rolling the dice on fun, with its new activation “Lucky Thursdays”.

Willy Vargas: “Lucky Thursdays is an opportunity to have a good discount on your tab.”

He’s being modest; it’s an excellent discount! Guests pick a number, roll the dice, and if luck’s on their side, they score 50 percent off their tab.

Willy Vargas: “It’s going to be one hit (roll) per tab. If you have three tabs, you can hit three times”

And with cocktails that hit and bites that don’t miss, 50% off goes a long way.

Willy Vargas: “We have really good cocktails and really good food. For example, we have the Green Zen, which is basically cucumber and Tito’s Vodka. It’s a refreshing cocktail.”

Other standouts include the Smoke in the Garden, made with mescal, and the peach tiki punch.

Now on to the food.

Willy Vargas: “One of the best sellers we have is the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread, and then we have our pork sliders and they are like really appetizing.”

The fun doesn’t stop there. The bar also brings in a live DJ and hosts other specialty nights throughout the week.

So you have a great time, while you slice your tab in half. Party on!

Willy Vargas: “You know it’s a place to party, to have fun, to enjoy with your family, your friends. We have fun here.”

SoFlo artist Marie-Louise Duvert gives garbage a glam makeover, turning junk into jewels https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/soflo-artist-marie-louise-duvert-gives-garbage-a-glam-makeover-turning-junk-into-jewels/ Wed, 12 Nov 2025 03:01:45 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1641179 One person’s trash can definitely be another person’s treasure. One SoFlo artist is turning bottle caps, broken glass and scraps into jewelry that amazes everyone who sees it. It’s sustainable, creative… and just plain cool.

Meet Marie-Louise, a self-taught artist from Fort Lauderdale. She’s the creative mind behind Garbage Glam Art, where trash gets a makeover.

And it’ll have you feeling like this…

Anne Hathaway as Daphne Kluger in “Ocean’s Eight”: “Holy crap.”

Helena Bonham Carter as Rose Weil in “Ocean’s Eight”: “Let’s try it on!”

Marie-Louise Duvert: “Garbage Glam Art — which, by the way, I am married to that name — is I create jewelry and art out of garbage, literally. I’ve displayed a lot of my pieces that, you know, are made of garbage — most of them are made of cardboard, plastic, denim, tins — and then I add beautiful beads like, you know, real crystals.”

Marie-Louise is not just creating jewelry. She’s thinking outside the trash can, and making a statement on how you can look good while taking care of the environment.

Marie-Louise Duvert: “So I go on my walks a lot, which gives me an excuse to exercise a little bit, and I always find things — people throw away things — that are, like, really bad for the environment. So on my walks or anywhere, I just all of a sudden have an eye for things that are unwanted.”

From old cans to shattered plates, Garbage Glam Art makes it wearable, proving beauty really is in the eye of the re-user.

And people’s reactions?

Guest: “It’s amazing. I just couldn’t believe – the first time I walked into her store, I asked her, ‘What this is made of,’ and she said, ‘cardboard!'”

So next time you see something heading to the landfill, think “potential bling.”

Marie-Louise Duvert: “There’s beauty in everything, even if people may throw it out. Just like humans, there’s beauty in everyone, in everything, and it’s important to be conscious about what we do with our garbage.”

Fort Lauderdale opens up ‘The Fort’ with 42 pickleball courts and a unique restaurant to eat after playing https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/fort-lauderdale-opens-up-the-fort-with-42-pickleball-courts-and-a-unique-restaurant-to-eat-after-playing/ Wed, 12 Nov 2025 00:59:40 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1641291 Attention, residents of Broward County. Your largest city may be on the verge of changing its name. Fort Lauderdale could soon be called: Fort Pickleball.

A huge complex, dedicated to the sport, is up and running — with tons of courts and a very cool place to chow down.

Pickleball fans, welcome to your new home. “The Fort” is opening inside Snyder Park– and it’s calling your name.

Troy Boynton: “It’s 43 courts, 14 covered. The world’s first pickleball stadium.”

The world’s first pickleball stadium — that’s impressive. But 43 courts? That’s a lot of pickles. Don’t get the wrong idea. Business is booming.

Troy Boynton: “Believe it or not, if you look around right now, every court’s being utilized on an evening like tonight, Monday through Friday our evenings are packed, not a court’s open, especially Saturday and Sunday mornings are just as packed.”

It doesn’t matter where your game is. There’s so much going on, you’ll find your place here.

Troy Boynton: “Yeah, we have a little bit of everything for everyone. We have free entry to pickleball classes for people who have never played before. We hire a pro and they train them to learn how to play.”

The more you play, the tougher the competition gets.

Troy Boynton: “We have everything from open plays to skilled reserved plays for all types of levels. We have different leagues for men’s, women’s, or mixed.”

You’ll definitely get a good workout on the court. You’ll also get the chance to expand your circle of friends.

Troy Boynton: “You can play with four different people and rotate in and out. You could’ve played with ten to fourteen people throughout the night and just connecting with them, talking with them on and off the court.”

Maybe you and your new pals will be ready to kick back after a hard night of pickleball at The Fort. That’s where the Florida Room comes in.

Jeff McGinnis: “We’re open right here on The Fort, it’s an amazing pickleball complex.”

The place is run by the husband and wife chef team of Janine Booth and Jeff McGinnis. They’re veterans of the so-flo food scene.

Jeff McGinnis: “The cuisine is a lot of food we’ve picked, kind of a lot of our favorites from a lot of our other restaurants. We kinda brought everything in this is the fun one, right?”

The kitchen turns out plenty of plate-filling possibilities.

Jeff McGinnis: “So we’ve got everything from pizza to fried chicken to ribs, so you can get the casual stuff, but then we have some really high-end stuff like short ribs.”

The chefs jumped at the chance to do business at The Fort.

Janine Booth: “I really think that this pickleball complex is such a fun, welcoming environment. There are people that have made some new friends, they’re moving and then they come in here to the Florida Room, have a beautiful dinner.”

We’ll ask the question we know is on your mind. Do they serve pickles at the Florida Room? You’re going to like the answer.

Janine Booth: “We have a ton of pickles. The pickleball vibe into the restaurant, it touches; it’s really all about the Florida Room vibe. It’s really a beautiful place for everybody to enjoy.”

The holiday lights at NightGarden are in full bloom for a fairy scavenger hunt and merry movie nights https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/the-holiday-lights-at-nightgarden-are-in-full-bloom-for-a-fairy-scavenger-hunt-and-merry-movie-nights/ Tue, 11 Nov 2025 03:01:51 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1640980 Miami’s about to get lit for the holidays, and we’re not talking about a party. We’re talking about a whole garden that glows, sparkles and shines all season long. The NightGarden in Coral Gables is back and it’s brighter than ever.

When the sun sets over Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, the magic begins.

NightGarden, a wonderland display of lights, has returned for its seventh year.

Daniel Wu: “What people have come to expect, is an illuminated night of magical fairytales.”

And that’s just what you’ll get.

From a talking tree to an all-out fairy scavenger hunt in the forest.

Daniel Wu: “It’s called ‘The Fairy Scope.’ You can use your mobile phone and you go around the entire 23 acres of the NightGarden. You’re exploring. If you find them all, you can go to our merch shop and spin the prize wheel.”

And when you make your way to the merch shop, you might just spot something a little mischievous.

Daniel Wu: “We have Labubus, which is the biggest thing in the world right now. And they actually live in the forest.”

The little guys aren’t the only thing new this year.

Daniel Wu: “This year, we have a secret garden laser show, which we’ve never done before for NightGarden, so we are excited to bring that on.”

Daniel Wu: “Another new activity we are introducing to NightGarden this year is a movie night, where you can grab hot chocolate, popcorn, ice cream, milkshake, you name it, and have a nice night out under the stars.”

But if you’d much rather just roam the garden, there’s more than enough space for that too.

Daniel Wu: “We have a rainforest that you’ll walk in and it’s just sensory overload. It’s just amazing with the music in the background, you feel like you’re on a movie set.”

As the lights come alive, so does the holiday spirit.

Daniel Wu: “This is like the perfect night out for the entire family during the season.”

NightGarden is open now through Jan. 11.

Amazónico brings wild flavors tableside in 305’s hot jungle-themed restaurant https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/amazonico-brings-wild-flavors-tableside-in-305s-hot-jungle-themed-restaurant/ Thu, 06 Nov 2025 02:45:44 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1638711 Miami’s always been known for its nightlife, but this next spot takes it deeper into the wild. We’re talking tropical vibes, bold flavors and a party straight out of the jungle. Deco’s stepping inside the hot, new restaurant that’s bringing a whole new adventure to the 305.

In the middle of the Magic City, a jungle has emerged.

Welcome to Amazónico, Miami’s newest hotspot for fine Latin cuisine and partying.

David McIntyre: “We are a multi-sensory experience with live entertainment seven nights a week.”

With live bands, DJs and a wild Amazon vibe, this place is massive, and every corner has its own energy.

David McIntyre: “Amazónico is about 26,000 feet inside and out. You can move from one space to the other very fluidly.”

The fun doesn’t stop at the music.

David McIntyre: “Food is a part of our entertainment here and we prepare a lot of our dishes tableside.”

Like this whole-grilled branzino, a master class of deboning it is done right in front of you!

David McIntyre: “Part of our celebration of the food is the interaction that the whole table has with those dishes. The way that we present them is as important as the flavors themselves.”

Other menu standouts include the guacamole served with sea urchins and plantains and the Hamachi tiradito.

The drinks are just as entertaining.

David McIntyre: “I’d be doing the bar an enormous disservice if I didn’t talk about our signature cocktails. We have the peacock spritz, which is a deliciously fruity and refreshing spritz drink with soda and white wine, and our Monkey Business Cocktail, which is served inside a monkey head.”

The rainforest atmosphere already has guests hooked.

Guest: “The experience here has been wonderful. The food is great, the ambiance is a wonderful place to be. Great service, awesome cocktails.”

Glen Powell takes on the deadliest game in the world in new action thriller adaptation, ‘The Running Man’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/glen-powell-takes-on-the-deadliest-game-in-the-world-in-new-action-thriller-adaptation-the-running-man/ Tue, 04 Nov 2025 02:13:02 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1638071 Running is a great form of exercise. It can even be kind of fun, when you put on your music and get in the zone. But — that’s not really the case when you’re running for survival, then it’s not so fun. Thankfully, the only cardio Deco’s doing is lacing up our kicks and speed walking to chat with Glen Powell and the team behind “The Running Man.”

Ready. Set. Run for your life!

Glen Powell is playing the deadliest game in the world in the new action thriller, “The Running Man.”

Glen Powell: “Ain’t it fun?”

Fun for us fans to watch? Definitely!

Fun for the characters, like Ben Richards, who are just trying to survive? Not so much!

Ben isn’t just fighting for his family — he’s fighting against an authoritarian system and network propaganda that aims to keep the population under control and in the dark.

Glen Powell: “Ben is a guy who’s just trying to show up for his family and then sort of realizes that his problems, the frustrations he feels, the power that’s pushing him down is the power that’s pushing everybody down.”

And that makes him the face of a movement, whether he wants it or not.

Glen Powell: “There’s a frustration about everyone going, ‘Oh, man, you represent something to the world, you know, you’re important. You’re an important piece of how we take this thing down.'”

Easier said than done, because every good chase needs an elite hunter.

And “The Running Man’s” top guy comes in the form of Lee Pace and all his 6 foot, 5 glory.

Just don’t expect to see much of his face.

Lee Pace: “I really recommend wearing a mask, especially if you’re gonna do evil things.”

The mask doesn’t stop the character from hamming it up for the cameras, though.

Lee Pace: “The character was just cool. Like, he’s just relaxed. He’s surrounded by violence, and he’s completely unbothered. And I thought that was, you know, funny.”

The film is a passion project for director Edgar Wright, who has wanted to do his version of the Stephen King novel for years.

Edgar Wright: “Elements of the book remained really powerful to me and really vivid in my head, so to actually get to put them on screen is just like, you know, like a gift.”

It’s a gift for Glen too, especially at this point in his career.

Glen Powell: “I’ve always been sort of the underdog in this town, you know, I’ve been doing this a really long time. I’ve been doing this since I was 10 years old. What you do realize is to kind of look after people. When you’re on set, I get to be the one who’s looking after the crew and looking after your fellow cast members and really making sure you do it right.”

Want to get a running start and see “The Running Man” before everyone else? Deco’s giving away tickets for an advance screening of the movie on Monday, Nov. 10 at Regal Kendall Village. For a chance to win, send your name and phone number to giveaways@wsvn.com.

Good Morning America celebrates 50 years by looking back at favorite memories, show’s legacy https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/good-morning-america-celebrates-50-years-by-looking-back-at-favorite-memories-shows-legacy/ Tue, 04 Nov 2025 00:46:06 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1638073 Fifty years of sunrises, smiles and some very early alarm clocks!

“Good Morning America” is celebrating the big 50, and trust us, they don’t look a day over 29.

From New York to your living room, here’s a look at how GMA’s been serving up breakfast, headlines, and heart for half a century.

For 50 years, those three little words have been the country’s morning wake-up call.

Crew: “Good morning, America!”

It all started back on November 3rd, 1975 when America first met David Hartman and Joan Lunden, their coffee was definitely stronger than ours.

Robin Roberts: “It’s hard to put into words, to be part of this legacy means everything.”

Fast forward to today. The country’s number one morning show is throwing it back to their favorite memories and turning it up for their golden anniversary.

Robin Roberts: “We do not have enough time to talk about the incredible music, these last 50 years. We had Prince, Whitney Houston.”

The crew’s also taking a moment to soak in the love.

Diane Sawyer: “I always felt when that light comes on, the first thing we’re saying is, ‘We’re here together.'”

George Stephanopoulos: “It’s always been about bringing people information, but also showing them different parts of life that they can enjoy as well.”

Michael Strahan: “A show that wakes people up, gives them the news, gives them the truth, and gives them something to wake up and look forward to.”

And yes, even former hosts like Charlie Gibson popped by, mentioning how he felt on his first day on air!

Charlie Gibson: “I was scared to death. They said, ‘Be curious and have fun,’ and for 19 years, that was essentially my mantra.”

Happy birthday, GMA!

SOBEWFF honors SoFlo chef to celebrate upcoming 25th anniversary https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/sobewff-honors-soflo-chef-to-celebrate-upcoming-25th-anniversary/ Fri, 31 Oct 2025 01:42:52 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1636639 South Beach Wine and Food Festival is turning 25! Which means it’s now old enough to rent a car! We’re still a few months out, but we can’t take the anticipation. So, Deco’s giving you a sneak peek to hold you over until then.

South Beach Wine and Food Festival is hitting a major milestone.

Bobby Flay: “It’s the 25th year next year. It’s a big one.”

A big one indeed! And it’s a celebration the festival doesn’t take lightly.

Andrea Moreno: “What that means to us is we are continuing to help develop the future leaders of the hospitality industry.”

For a quarter of a century, the hot ticket event has been serving up good food and good deeds.

Andrea Moreno: “Many people aren’t aware but the South Beach Wine and Food Festival benefits the Chaplin School of Hospitality Management at FIU.”

The school isn’t the only local establishment benefitting.

Andrea Moreno: “Yes, we have those world renowned chefs that we bring in and Food Network talent that helps us host our events but the backbone of this festival is local Miami restaurants.”

And for the first time ever, a local chef is next year’s tribute dinner honoree.

Andrea Moreno: “This year, we are so excited to be honoring Michelle Bernstein. She’s been a part of the festival since its inception.”

Deco caught up with Michelle at her restaurant, Sra. Martinez, and got a glimpse of the food that earned her the nod.

Michelle Bernstein: “I mean who would have thought, you know, I came to work in a kitchen, I did it because I was a little bit shy and I loved food. And now I get to go to these events that have over 500 people in them”

She’s also bringing some heat to the event.

Michelle Bernstein: “I have asked Bobby Flay, who is a dear friend, to emcee the event and he actually said ‘Yes.'”

Since she’s the honoree, Michelle won’t be cooking at the event. Instead, she’s sharing her favorite dishes and what she loves to serve in her own restaurant

Michelle Bernstein: “First of all, when you come here you got to go straight to the bar and have one of our cocktails. When you sit down for dinner, I suggest you start with the chicken liver moose with donuts.”

But you can’t leave without trying the oxtail.

Michelle Bernstein: “I do this combination of, like, the island flavor of oxtail stew with the Latin flavor of rabo encendido and put it into a paella.”

Jeremy Renner, cast of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ talks show’s season 4 return https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/jeremy-renner-cast-of-mayor-of-kingstown-talks-shows-season-4-return/ Tue, 28 Oct 2025 19:17:58 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1635965 Jeremy Renner is back in action. The cast of “Mayor of Kingstown” is bringing some serious power, and Season 4 is now on Paramount+. Let’s check it out.

Jeremy Renner returns as Mike McClusky for the fourth season of “Mayor of Kingstown,” where he’s trying to keep the peace and his family alive behind prison walls.

Renner says this season gets more personal, and the trouble just keeps piling up.

Jeremy Renner: “Typically, as he always is in a lot of hot water. A lot of this is a bit more personal as his brother, and pretty much only family members who sort of left, is incarcerated and has to protect him and then Mike finds himself handcuffed and at the mercy of the new warden.”

And that “new warden?” Enter Edie Falco — taking over as the tough-as-nails warden who isn’t afraid of anyone.

She’s walking into a storm, and Kingstown’s about to feel it.

Edie Falco: “She shows up in Kingstown, you know, at her next gig. This is what she does. I don’t think she is particularly alarmed by the job or by the scope of it. Perhaps she doesn’t know enough yet to be alarmed, but, I think she’s just doing what she does and that she has a fair amount of confidence that she does it well.”

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables is getting into the Halloween spirit with ‘Garden of Shadows’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/fairchild-tropical-botanic-garden-in-coral-gables-is-getting-into-the-halloween-spirit-with-garden-of-shadows/ Fri, 24 Oct 2025 23:05:17 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1635268 It’s trick-or-treat time. The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden has a few tricks up its sleeve this weekend to celebrate Halloween. But you got to have the nerve to show up because they’re treating you to haunting trails, spine-tingling adventures and, oh yeah, drinks.

If you’re afraid of the dark, then get over it and head over to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables to experience the “Garden of Shadows.”

Nannette M. Zapat: “There are four or five locations through out the garden that are spooky and eerie. We have an aerialist, we do have a contortionist, we have music playing the whole time, the DJ’s gonna be doing all sorts of fun music, dance music, as well as seasonal Halloween music, so there is going to be two hours chock full of experiences.”

But that’s not all this garden party has to offer. If you wear a costume, you may end up leaving the party $250 richer. No, they’re not giving money away; you have to win the costume contest, silly.

Nannette M. Zapat: “We also have a tram tour, a spooky tram tour that will take you around the full garden for 30 minutes or so and you never know what’s gonna jump out at you.”

Talk about scaring up some fun.

Nannette M. Zapat: “All of the silhouettes come to life. There’ll be an incredibly fun experience of riddles that lead you to some really cool bars, and all of those bars have very fun and themed drinks.”

You had me at drinks.

Nannette M. Zapat: “It’s just a fun evening out, a couple of evenings out and the idea is to, if you’re gonna have Halloween, what better place to have it than among a really beautiful setting during the daytime and even more beautiful and spooky experience in the evening.”

Liquid refreshments, food, games, scary decor. Sounds like a scream.

Nannette M. Zapat: “We will definitely have spider webs and festive lights everywhere and some ghosts and some skeletons and all sorts of spooky Halloween decor to make you feel like you’re really in it.”

Check out “Garden of Shadows” Saturday, Oct. 25th at 7 p.m.

Ethan Hawke steps into the shoes of Lorenz Hart for the musical drama ‘Blue Moon’ https://wsvn.com/entertainment/deco-drive/ethan-hawke-steps-into-the-shoes-of-lorenz-hart-for-the-musical-drama-blue-moon/ Fri, 24 Oct 2025 20:11:51 +0000 https://wsvn.com/?p=1635270 Ethan Hawke’s done it all. But this time, he’s playing a role he’s been waiting to age into. He’s playing George Clooney. Kidding! no… Ethan’s stepping into the shoes of lyrical genius, Lorenz Hart, for the musical drama: “Blue Moon,” which is now in theaters.

Ethan Hawke stars in the movie “Blue Moon,” playing Lorenz Hart, who was known for songs like “My Funny Valentine.” he was a talented songwriter who wrote the perfect melodies, but couldn’t seem to get his life in rhythm.

Ethan Hawke: “I knew how lucky I was the whole time. When you have a character this complex, who’s this smart and wise and self-destructive and silly and stupid.”

The story unfolds the night “Oklahoma!” opened on Broadway — the blockbuster show, his longtime writing partner Richard Rodgers, created without him. Yeah, that one cuts deep.

Andrew Scott: “he possibly doesn’t want to engage with Larry on that evening, but in another way, he does because he invites him over and then, and then, you know, their history can’t help but spill out, and the love and the resentment.”

On top of that, there’s a woman he can’t let go of — but she clearly doesn’t feel the same.

Bobby Cannavale: “I like to think that, like, Eddie woke up that day knowing what his job was gonna be that day. He knew Larry was gonna be there and that he would have to take care of Larry, and he was gonna love doing it.”

“Blue Moon” mixes classic Hollywood charm with a modern edge – full of music, heartbreak, and a touch of old-school glamour.
